SOS Méditerranée, a European, maritime-humanitarian organization for the rescue of life at sea, reported that a rubber dinghy, with approximately 130 illegal immigrants on board, sank off the coast of Libya.

The organization stated that it had detected dozens of bodies floating on the surface of the water in severe stormy weather, in which the waves were reported to reach in excess of six meters.

The organization’s rescue ship ‘Ocean Viking’, headed to the given coordinates of the dinghy’s location immediately after receiving a distress signal, however, there were no survivors found from the tragic incident.
