The Minister of Economy and Trade in the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Hawaij, has discussed with the British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, the formation of a joint economic committee that works to strengthen economic and investment tie between chambers of commerce and business owners in both countries.
The two sides discussed the possibility of resuming the work of British companies in Libya to complete contracted projects in various sectors, according to a statement by the Ministry of Economy on its Facebook page.
Al-Hawaij stressed the importance of coordinating and unifying the British position to support the path of recovery and achieving economic stability, and directed the Foreign Trade Department to enhance cooperation with the economic advisor at the British Embassy, within the framework of developing bilateral relations between the two sides.
