The Minister of Higher Education in the Government of National Unity (GNU), Omran Al-Qeeb, has discussed with the Tunisian ambassador to Libya, Al-Asaad Al-Ajili, a number of issues of common concern, the most important of which the Libyan students studying in Tunisia from tuition fees, similar to Tunisian students studying in Libya.

Both sides also discussed addressing the situation of Libyan students studying at the university in Tunisia who have not obtained their degrees for years, according to the GNU media office.

Last March, a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research visited Tunisia, and signed with its counterpart in Tunisia an agreement to increase the numbers of Libyan students four times, to reach 250 seats starting from 2022-2023, after it was only 45.
