Oil and Gas Minister Mohammed Aoun has discussed with Canadian Ambassador to Libya, Isabelle Savard, the return of Canadian companies to work in the oil and gas sector, stressing the importance of Canada's economic and political role in contributing to the stability of the Libyan state.
The two parties also discussed the prospects for cooperation and the participation of leading Canadian companies in the field of oil and gas exploration in the onshore and offshore areas.
The Canadian ambassador stressed the importance of Libya's security, economic stability, and prospects for future cooperation in the field of energy transition and the use of renewable energies.
