Minister of Oil and Gas, Khalifa Abdul Sadiq discussed with Italian Minister of Energy, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of energy and renewable energies.
This came during a meeting held in the presence of the Libyan Ambassador to Italy, Muhannad Younis, according to the Ministry of Oil.
During the meeting, importance of encouraging Italian companies to invest in the Libyan oil services and renewable energy sector to contribute to achieving sustainable development was emphasized, the ministry added.
The two sides also discussed ways of cooperation in the fields of training and scientific research to enhance local capacities in the field of energy.
