Minister of Economy and Trade, Muhammad Al-Hawaij, issued a decision on Sunday that outlines a mechanism for selling prescription medicines.
The resolution obligates pharmacies to put the price on the prescription, endorsed by the pharmacy’s seal, or to issue an invoice indicating the type of drug and price.
The ministry called on the monitoring and control authorities to follow up on the implementation of the decision and to take legal action against violators.
