The Deputy Prime Minister, who is the Acting Minister of Health, Ramadan Abu Jinnah, has discussed with the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Libya, Shamim-Uz-Zaman, the mechanisms for optimal utilization of Bangladeshi medical and auxiliary medical staff in operating hospitals and medical centers in southern Libya.

During a broad meeting attended by Director of International Cooperation, Azzam Al-Qamoudi, the two parties discussed a number of issues, such as pharmaceutical industries, and international manufacturing companies that have Bangladesh as their headquarters, due to cheap labour.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to form a technical committee from the Ministry of Health to visit factories specialized in pharmaceutical industries in Bangladesh, in addition to holding meetings with health officials there to discuss cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two countries.
