Minister of Transport, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, has discussed with land-border crossing officials, the ongoing preparations for the reopening of the Ghadames border crossing with Algeria, and the difficulties facing border crossings of Ras Jedir and Wazen with Tunisia.
Al-Shahoubi stressed the importance of this land transport sector, and stressed the need to focus and pay attention to developing the performance of the border crossings, follow-up of their workflow, and to develop a clear strategic vision based on sound foundations, designed at enhancing capacities of workers and to develop and improve their performance.
The minister expressed his desire to transform the main border crossings into commercial crossing posts that have all the necessary facilities in order to operate as required.
