The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transportation, Hisham Abushkiwat said that four foreign airlines have expressed their desire to operate flights to and from Tripoli after conducting field visits to the airport of Mitiga.

Abushkiwat clarified via a press statement that the foreign companies include, Tunisian, Maltese, Italian, and Turkish airlines.

"The Ministry of Transportation responded to all the companies' queries through the Aviation and Airports Authorities," Abushkiwat said, expecting the resumption of commercial flights between Tripoli and the Maltese capital Valletta very soon.
