The Project Execution and Management Department at the Man-Made River System anticipated that water supplies would return to consumers in Benghazi by the early hours of Sunday.

On Saturday, the General Company for Water and Sanitation in Benghazi Plain said it would temporarily halt its services to connect the 600 mm and 400mm lines to the eastern coastal route.

The MMRA said in a statement on Facebook Sunday that teams on the ground worked until late at night to complete the linking process between the 600 mm and the 400 mm lines.

It indicated that work is now underway to start opening the valves for chambers three, four, and five gradually according to the operating plan approved by the device.
