The Man-Made River Authority (MMRA) said on Friday that it would suspend water supplies to areas east of Benghazi on Sunday and Monday.
The step is necessary to carry out relocation and connection work on the water transport line situated on the airport road, the MMRA explained.
The pressure reduction chamber No. (4) will halt operations to allow the working teams to implement the concrete stabilization bases for the water transport line with a diameter of (900 mm).
In light of this development, the authority advised citizens to conserve water and take necessary precautions.
