The Moroccan Foreign Minister, Nasser Bourita, has announced the reopening of the Moroccan consulates in Tripoli and Benghazi cities next June.

The Moroccan government did not announce whether the reopening of the two consulates would be followed by the reopening of the Moroccan embassy in Tripoli, which had been closed since April 2015, as a result of an armed attack claimed by the Islamic State.
