Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita has affirmed his country's position toward the elections in Libya as the only solution to the country's crisis, reaffirming Morocco's continued support for the international efforts in this direction.

Bourita met with Libya's Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Manqoush, on Friday, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The two sides discussed means to enhance strategic relations between Libya and Morocco and joint efforts to establish stability in Libya.

In a separate video statement, US Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, said his country is working closely with partners and Libyan visitors in New York to try to restore momentum to the Libyan electoral process.
