Member of House of Representatives (HoR), Ziyad Daghim, , called on the members of the parliament to elect a president for the country and activate the constitutional declaration before the end of next February if no agreement is reached on the 17th of December session with the High Council of State (HCS).

Daghim added in a press statement that his proposed election process must be held by the HoR with a majority of MPs present, as he anticipates that not enough representatives from all regions will participate in the electoral process.

Daghim also accused the head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Ghassan Salame, of disrupting the dialogue and Libyan efforts to reach a consensus.
