Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors without Borders (MSF) expressed its concern over the lack of official information on the place and the health of migrants who were evacuated from the cargo ship Nivin in the port of Misurata last Tuesday.

The organization said in a statement that it was denied permission to visit the immigrants with health concerns who were under their care for ten days, saying that Libya cannot be considered a safe place to migrants.

MSF has accused the EU of preventing migrants, refugees and asylum seekers from reaching Europe, explaining that the migrants have no choice but to be held indefinitely in Libyan shelters.
