Director of the National Centre for Disease Control Badr Al-Din Najjar said on Monday that the preliminary estimates of the vaccination campaign against measles, poliomyelitis and rubella have reached 2.75 million children.

Al-Najjar clarified that about 1.5 million children have been vaccinated against measles, while the vaccination against polio has reached 1.25 million, indicating that these figures are likely to increase after receiving further statistics from more health facilities.

He also praised the citizens' awareness and response, emphasizing the success of the campaign at all levels by the certification of international organizations.
