Libya’s National Reconciliation Council has called on all Libyans to abandon violence and resort to peaceful solutions. 

In a statement, the council demanded an end to fighting in the oil crescent and called rival groups to engage in political talks to end the conflict.

The council also stressed that return of IDPs to their homes is a legitimate right.
