The National Commission for Human Rights in Libya (NCHRL) has condemned the recent killings in the capital Tripoli, during which 8 people have been killed.

In a statement, the NCHRL held the Ministry of Interior responsible for the ongoing extrajudicial killings carried out by armed groups.

The Attorney General's Office also called for urgent investigations to bring the perpetrators of such crimes to justice.

Tripoli witnessed during last week, several extrajudicial killings of civilians and security personnel, most notably a senior figure of Tripoli Revolutionaries Brigade and a member of the Special Deterrent Force, amid domestic and international condemnation.
