The Municipal Council of Misrata, together with the Desalination Company and the Water Company, set out the site for a new desalination plant in order to fill the deficit in the city’s water supply.
This came during a meeting headed by the municipality's mayor, members of the council and engineers from the desalination and water companies.
Earlier, the General Authority for Water Resources issued a decision to establish a desalination plant in the municipality of Misrata in cooperation with the Desalination Company.
