The Supreme Committee for Unifying National Institutions in Libya adopted Friday a final draft agreement unanimously to unify the audit bureaus in Tripoli and Al-Bayda.

The Chairman of the committee, Miftah al-Harir, expressed the committee's endeavour to end the institutional division and duplication in all state institutions and to preserve the unity of action among the official establishments.

The draft agreement comes after a series of meetings in Tunisia between the liaison and communication committees formed by the Tripoli and Al-Bayda audit bureaus in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program in Libya and the United States Institute of Peace.

Last June, the same committee adopted a roadmap approved by both parties to unify the work of the audit bureaus and achieve financial and technical oversight to preserve public funds.
