The head of the General Services Company, Muhammad Ismail, said that the first phase of the Bab Qargaresh marine road project would be ready by the end of this year.

Ismail made his remarks Monday at a meeting with Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah at the latter's office in Tripoli. He said the alternate marine route is part of a strategy to alleviate the congestion problem in the capital.

A statement by the PM media office said that the meeting comes within the framework of Dbeibah's follow-up to the latest developments of the Bab Qarqaresh marine road project, which extends from the Souq Al-Thulatha crossroad to the Oil Institute, as part of the "Return to Life Program" launched by the government a few weeks ago.
