The new military advisor to the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, General “Joseph Boltz,” met with the deputy head of the Presidential Council, Ahmed Maiteeq, at the headquarters of the Prime Minister's Office in Tripoli on Wednesday.

The Media Office of the Presidential Council stated that the new military adviser to the UN mission will take over the post this month from his successor, General Paolo Serra of Italy.

The meeting between Maitiq and “Boltz” discussed the general situation in Libya and efforts to unify the military and security institutions, including the stability of Tripoli.
