Gunmen affiliated with Dignity Operation kidnapped Monday the member of the Board of Directors of Industrial Cities Association, Mohammed Jodran the brother of Ibrahim Jodran, in Al-Bayda, at gunpoint. According to Jodran’s family statement to the media, Mohammed was abducted by a number of gunmen when he was leaving his workplace. He then was taken to the Interior Security Department before he was jailed in the infamous Granada prison. Sources reported that the reason behind the abduction is the attempt by Dignity Operation to twist Ibrahim Jodran’s arm as he is known for opposing Khalifa Haftar.

After three months of its arrival in Tripoli, the Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government convenes its first meeting at the Prime Ministry headquarters in Tripoli. Bani Walid Municipality disclosed Monday that the six Egyptian nationals, who were busted by Misrata forces as they were trying to escape from Sirte and who are said to be kidnapped according to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, are heading to Egypt through Ras Lanuf and then they will be handed to the Egyptian authorities from the eastern region. According to the Mayor of Bani Walid, an illegitimate local group in the city held the Egyptians, but now they are on their way to Egypt.

Member of the Constitution Drafting Assembly (CDA), Nadia Omran, said they CDA had accomplished the work assigned to it, i.e. getting the Libyan constitution ready, pointing out that the CDA informed the Tobruk-based House of Representatives about it, yet, the HoR took no action in that regard. The living conditions of Sirte internally displaced persons (IDPs) camping in Tarhouna city are worsening, local authorities have warned. The head of media office of Tarhouna Municipality Mohammed Sayeed said the government has turned a blind eye to those IDPs, which added to their daily suffering.
