The Libyan Navy Force has intercepted a Liberian-flagged oil tanker (Levant) near the Tunisian waters, according to sources from the naval force.

Libyan authorities have handed over 45 Tunisian nationals to their Tunisian counterparts at the border crossing of Ras Ajdir. The Tunisian nationals were involved in an illegal immigration attempt to cross the coast from Zawiya city to the Italian shores. The handover process came after the visit of a delegation from the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Tripoli on August 21. It’s the second handover this month. on August 11, 78 Tunisians were deported back to their country.

The Minister of Education, Othman Abdul Jalil, has issued a resolution on Sunday to distribute 7 million and 536 thousand Libyan dinars to the offices of the education oversight in all areas of Libya, stressing that the decision should be implemented swiftly to meet the needs of schools prior the new school year.

Member of the House of Representatives for Tripoli, Mustafa Abu Shagur announced his resignation from the House of Representatives on Sunday. In a statement on his Facebook page, Abu Shagur said the decision of his resignation was taken because of the poor performance of the HoR during the past years and its failure in completing the entitlements on the political agreement, in addition to the inappropriate behavior of the Speaker.

The National Oil Corporation NOC declared on Sunday a force majeure on production from the oil field of Hamada. The announcement of NOC came after the closure of the fields of Sharara and Hamada by an armed group from Zintan town. Sources said that the NOC is expected to declare Monday another force majeure on the crude oil exports from Millitah after the same Zintani gunmen closed El Feel (Elephant) oil field.

The Fezzan Anti-Corruption Group held a protest on Sunday outside the Municipal Council of Sabha, demanding the dismissal of the director of the Sabha oil depot and for tighter control on fuel stations as well as securing the route of fuel trucks to the southern region. The protesters described in a statement the situation as "catastrophic" after prices of gasoline scourged to 3 dinars per liter and cooking gas cylinder skipped to 40 dinars due to lack of fuel, and black market control on fuel trade in the district.

Libyan Airlines commenced flights between Ubari airport in southern Libya and Benina in Benghazi on Sunday. According to the Ministry of Transport’s information office, the airline company is to schedule weekly flights every Sunday.

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Adel Gomaa, said that the Secondary Certificate examination results for the academic year 2016/2017 will be announced on Tuesday, September the 5th. The Minister said in a statement on the ministry's website that student will have access to the results on a dedicated website (http: //www.imtihanat .com) once activated and placed on the ministry's official page on Facebook.

The spokesman of the Municipal Council of Kufra, Abdullah Suleiman, said that clashes between the protection force of the city and Chadian opposition groups may renew at any time. Suleiman said in a television statement that the clashes that reputed Saturday in the south of the city were not the first, stressing the need to provide the necessary means to protect the Libyan-Chadian border, owing the ongoing clashes to the "open border" as well as the control of Chadian opposition groups of several areas.
