The National committee for Human Rights in Libya (NCHRL) has expressed rejection for the statement of some of the Constitution Drafting Assembly (CDA) members, who are trying to lay the basis for the marginalization and taking away of rights of the Libyan social and cultural communities.

The member of the Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government, Ali Al-Gotrani, proposed Sunday a transitional phase under the governing of what he called “the national army” led by Khalifa Haftar in order to have a full grip tightened on Libya and then reorder the political issues in accordance with other parties.

Libya’s Justice Ministry declared the alert state and ordered the formation of a security plan to tackle any emergent happenings at the Judicial Police Department and Hadba Prison, where former regime henchmen are detained, especially Gaddafi’s son Al-Saadi and former Gaddafi’s sidekick Abdullah Al-Sunusi. The high alert comes in line with the latest unrest that swept through the capital.

The presenter at Libya Channel, Malik Al-Sharada, was kidnapped once he arrived at Labreg airport, which is under the control of Khalifa Haftar’s forces. Al-Sharada who works for the Libya TV, which is owned by Libyan former ambassador to the UAE, Aref Al-Nayed, was coming from Amman, Jordan.

The board of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) that is appointed by the UN-proposed government said it is having difficulties in implementing the plans and projects that it has prepared to end the state of power outages due to the rejection of the former board of the Salvation Government to hand over the administrative buildings in Al-Sawani district, including the control building. It added that it is not responsible for any upcoming outages.

Libyan Airlines Company announced the kickoff of the Umrah season for 2016-2017 after they ended a meeting with a number of travel agents on last Thursday. The terms laid by the airliner were agreed on by the travel agents and thus they will start giving their papers for the airliner in the coming days so that flights to Mecca can begin shortly.

Education Institutions Authority sent a letter to the Financial Minister demanding provision of necessary equipment worth 60 million dinars, adding that that equipment must be provided if the educational process to keep on going, saying it has been three years since it last received any budget.

The head of the media office of the Tobruk municipality confirmed the reopening of its headquarters after one month of its closure by protesting contractors who complained about the delaying of their financial dues payments. The reopening came after a mediation by Tobruk notables and security department.

The Foreign  Minister of Al-Thanni government said the international community is trying to impose the political Islamic ideology in Libya, saying he is very upset that the international community has refused to deal with Al-Thanni government but rather it recognized the Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government, which is not yet endorsed, he added.
