Al-Nabaa TV reported medical sources from Benghazi as saying that they found seven bodies thrown in Benghazi streets on Monday with traces that show they got tortured before being shot, according to the forensic doctor.

Over the last two days, 14 corpses for Benghazi residents were found tossed in a landfill near the Social Insurance building in the city center, thus this makes the total number of bodies thrown on streets reach 21 in three days.

Libyan-Tunisian Ras Ajdair border saw clashes and fire exchange between armed men affiliated with Libya Shield, Western Region, in Jamal Al-Ghayeb brigade, which was recently appointed in charge of the border, and a number of the border’s armed employees. The clashes forced the shutdown of the border for hours before it reopened Monday morning.

Security forces in Zliten stormed a place in which illegal immigrants are gathered before they get on a boat and sail to Europe. The security forces found 200 persons including women and children and arrested two Libyans, who work in bringing the immigrants via other Libyan cities and gather them in Zliten before they send them to Europe across the ocean on dinghies.

The UNSMIL said that the number of the displaced persons from Sirte has hit 90 thousand and 449, pointing out that 35 thousand of them escaped from the city since last April and May.

As part of its annual report about the humanitarian situation in Libya up until July, the UNSMIL added that this number of IDPs makes up more than three-thirds of the population of Sirte as a whole, most of whom were displaced to Bani Walid, Tarhouna, Al-Jufra, and Misrata.

Defend Benghazi Brigades (DBB) said the statement of the defense minister-designate of the UN-proposed government, Mihdi Al-Barghathi, is odd as he has hailed the French intervention in Libya and has ignored the protests that went out in many cities in Libya denouncing the intervention.
