The General Director of the Libyan Education Facilities Authority (EFA) Samir Koko, signed a cooperation protocol with UNICEF that will focus on enhancement of educational environment inside schools as well as raising the bar of the educational services.

A statement made by Militia Oil and Gas Company which operates at AbuTefal oil field situated in south eastern Libya said that the Golden Bosphorus oil tanker left the port of Zouitina on Thursday with 600,000 barrels of crude oil in its first shipment in three years. The news agency Reuters quoted an official at the oil field as saying that the company is producing eighty five thousand barrels of crude oil per day one month after of re-opening. The official also stated that the field began production again smoothly after the removal of sediment stuck in the pipelines which if continues on track will likely increase production to 100 thousand barrels per day in the near future.

A total of 136 illegal migrants from Conakry in Guinea arrived in their country on Friday as part of the International Organization for Migration's (IOM) voluntary repatriation program with the support of the European Union. The organization reported on Thursday that 227 migrants had arrived in Burkina Faso via the same program last week.

The Tripoli Special Deterrent Force, in coordination with the Fuel and Gas Crisis Committee, raided and seized a number of gas distribution centers inside Tripoli. The Committee pointed out on its Facebook page that the Special Deterrent Force intervened to put an end to the greed of some gas distributors and were successful in arresting many of the exploiters, seizing their vehicles and taking legal action against them or withdrawing their licenses and canceling contracts between them and the Brega Oil Company.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has completed a project designed to service eighteen water wells in twelve districts of Sabha. The project which is part of the IOM's Program for Community Stability Support, named Together We Build Again included supplying new electric pumps to the wells to enable supply of local water. The International Organization for Migration has carried out these projects under the sponsorship and funding of the European Union.

Residents of the coastal town of Karsa, west of the city of Derna refused to evacuate their area after an announcement by the Omar Mukhtar operations room which is part of the Dignity Operation. Sources close to the residents of the region said that there was no insurance that their belongings would be safe after a string of robberies of homes and farms the last time they were asked to evacuate following clashes between Dignity operation forces and Derna Shura Council fighters.

The Embassy of the United States in Libya denied rumors of the visit of US Ambassador to Libya Peter Bodde and General Thomas D. Waldhauser, commander of the African Joint Command, AFRICOM, to the headquarters of the Dignity Operation and meeting with its commander Khalifa Heftar. News of the arrival of Bodde and Waldhauser in Rajma, which is where the headquarters of the Dignity Operation yesterday was circulated on Dignity Operation news outlets.

The Tripoli security Directorate confirmed that the security situation within the borders of Tripoli city is safe, pointing out that all the security forces affiliated with the Interior Ministry are performing their work to the fullest extent. The Directorate also confirmed in a statement issued on Friday evening that Tripoli is the capital of all Libyans and that they welcome all members of the community to work and stay in it while they provide all the required security services.

The Libyan navy spokesman Brigadier Ayoub Qasim, stated that a boat belonging to the Tripoli sector Coast Guard while out on a routine patrol identified a rubber boat with illegal immigrants near the coast of Sabratha on Thursday morning. Qasim confirmed that the boat's crew rescued 140 migrants from African nationalities and then transferred them to the Tripoli Naval Base to provide humanitarian and medical assistance before being transferred again and handed over to the Anti-Illegal Immigration Authority in Tripoli.

An official delegation representing the High Council of Amazigh in Libya handed over an official memorandum written by the council and some other Amazigh organizations to the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court on Friday. The memorandum included a complaint regarding the fatwa issued by the Fatwa Committee of the Interim Government which declared it forbidden to pray behind Ibadi's which the committee considered outside of the fold of Islam.

The Fuel and Gas Crisis Committee confirmed on Friday that the Libyan Air Force targeted a tanker attempting to smuggle fuel from Libya after it entered Libyan territorial waters. The targeting of the fuel smuggling tanker comes as part of operations by the Libyan Navy and Air Force to hunt down fuel smugglers that use sea and land to evade authorities.
