The US has ended its airstrikes mission in Sirte after three months of continuous attacks on IS conducted by the US Africa Command (AFRICOM) as part of the operation Odyssey Lightning, which was enlisted by the Presidential Council headed by Fayez Al-Serraj. The US conducted 367 air raids since the operation started on August 01.

The Manger of the North Africa Bank branches in the south, Abu Bakir AL-Thareef, was released on Friday. Al-Thareef was kidnapped two weeks ago by an unidentified armed group while he was coming back from Sabha toward Samno district on the road linking Sabha and Tamnhant.
