A seven-year-old girl died Friday when the ceiling of the house she lives in collapsed in Tripoli’s old town. The Mukhtar of the old town said the girl’s name is Zainab Bisher, adding that he officially told the Local Governance Ministry to find swift solutions to protect about 600 houses from collapse in the old town, but all went in vain.

Sources said that the National Oil Corporation is negotiating a deal to sell a million oil barrels to China through Ras Lanuf oil port. This selling offer is the second via the port in the last period. The shipment is expected to leave Ras Lanuf port on September 18, sources told Reuters, adding the vessel has not been agreed on yet. Another shipment is yet expected to be negotiated from the same port, the sources indicated.

Clashes broke out between armed brigades from Tripoli and Misrata in the Libyan capital on Friday. Sources said Tripoli's Bashir Sadawi brigade clashed with the Presidential Guard of the High Council of State in Sidi Al-Masri district, some 2 km away from the HQ of the council.
