The Arab League picked Thursday former Tunisian ambassador to Lbya, Salah Addin Al-Jamali, as its special envoy to Libya. The spokesman of the Arab League said earlier that they will organize his mission starter in the Thursday meeting.

The Libyan political dialogue committee has kicked off a meeting in the Maltese capital, Valletta in the presence of the UN envoy to Libya, Martin Kobler, who said the meeting will be very crucial given Libya’s current stalemate.

The Abu Salim Accidents Hospital’s staff in Tripoli have continued their strike for the third successive day to protest the assault on one of their co-workers inside the hospital, sources reported, adding that many patients are arriving at the hospital amid attempts to convince the medical staff to go back to work.

The crimes department at the Tripoli Appeals Court has adjourned the trial of Al-Saadi Gaddafi, according to the Hadba Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday without saying when the next session would be. The court had previously charged Al-Saadi with murder of a Libyan footballer Bashir Al-Rayani in 2005 and other crimes.

Local sources said that one person was killed on Wednesday when one of the Tajoura National Commercial Bank branch’s guards fired gunshots in the air to disperse the crowds queuing to cash out their salaries.
