The self-proclaimed military ruler of east Libya has sacked the elected mayor of Ajdabiya Salem Jodran, a step that aims to consolidate military dictatorship in the eastern region.

The Sudanese Foreign Ministry refuted the news about using its citizens in Ganfouda as human shields by the warring groups in Benghazi, saying they are stuck with other foreign workforce in the district due to clashes.

The spokesman of Misrata airport said a delegation from the Turkish Airlines paid a visit to the airport on Monday to see the possibility of resuming flights from Misrata airport to Turkey, adding that the delegation met with a number of the airport’s officials and moved around the airport to have a look at the safety measures and other necessities.

Higher Council of State said the rejection of the UN-proposed government by the HoR is a political absurdity, irresponsible and unreasonable, saying in a statement issued Monday that a group of the HoR members, the speaker Aqilah Saleh included, are trying to plunge Libya into a never-ending chain of bloodshed in order to impose a certain political agenda.

Tarhouna municipality denied the news that spread on social media about the kidnapping of three Egyptian engineers. The head of media office at the municipality said such false news aim at disturbing the flow of normal life in the city, saying it is not the first time such rumors come out on social media.
