Ean Libya news website reported a reliable source as saying that the UN is preparing to replace Head of UNSMIL, Martin Kobler, with a new international figure, whose name has not been revealed yet. Kobler assumed the post in November 2015, he was replaced by the UN Secretary-General by the Palestinian, Salam Fayyad, but the replacement was blocked by international powers, especially the US.

Al-Jalaa Hospital in Benghazi received 26 killed persons and 434 injured ones from Haftar's forces due to the clashes in May, an official said. He added that several injuries need surgeries, adding that some of them have been sent abroad for treatment, citing Al-Jalaa Hospital statistics.

HoR member, Mustafa Abu Shagour said the statements issued by the HoR nowadays are not circulated and decided on in the HoR sessions, adding that they don't represent him. He said the HoR's last full quorum session was in January 2016, adding that they were disallowed to hold sessions in following months. In August 2016, the HoR held a session lacking full quorum, then suspended its sessions till today.
