Oil won’t be pumped out of the oil fields we control until the workers get paid the three-year-delayed salaries and until the health and housing facilities of the workers get improved, the commander of the Petroleum Facilities Guard in the south, Mohammed Khabash said.

Amal National Civilian Movement Group and Marada Municipality threatened to shut oil and gas fields in the district, speaking out their anger with the relevant authorities in the government saying they had ignored their suffering and deteriorated life conditions in Marada despite the part it took in the state budget.

The military governor of the eastern region, Abdulraziq Al-Nathori, appointed Brigadier General Al-Mabrook Al-Ghazwi, as the mayor of Al-Kufra after the one previously picked – Saleh Al-Razouk – refused to take office in the place of the elected civilian mayor, Muftah Bukhalil.

The head of the Zilla municipality’s security council, Saleh Kharais, said the district is very tensed after one resident was killed by fighters from the Sudanese Justice and Equality Movement. Kharais added that the Sudanese rebel fighters are positioned nowadays on the fringes of the Zillah district; urging officials to quickly interfere and end the siege those fighters are lying.

Former mayor of Sooq Jomua, a district northern Tripoli, Hisham Ben Yousif, urged for allowing the municipality to earn a percentage of the revenue of Mitiga airport as it is located within the district. This was said by the former mayor after he met with the Minister of Transpiration at the UN-proposed government, Milad Matoug, discussing the extension of the airport and opening an entrance and exit for the second circular road in Ghararat district.

Libyan Airlines flight transported 131 injured fighters from Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos to Tunisia for treatment. Most of the injuries happened when the forces advanced into the residential area 3 and clashed with IS militants there.

HoR member, Ayman Saif Al-Naser, said the Speaker Aqilah Saleh is gasping for overthrowing the UN-proposed government and is getting in the way of any possible solutions on the scene to hamper the political track in the country. He added that Saleh had violated the internal codes list of the HoR by adding new items on the last session’s schedule and thus voted to give no confidence for the UN-proposed government.

A US Pentagon official confirmed that his country is mulling over extending the duration assigned for the airstrikes on IS in Libya’s Sirte and thus exceed the deadline of next September. The official told CNN that the Pentagon assigned only 30 days for the military assistance for the forces of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos, however, there is an inclination to extend that period.

The EU has appointed the Italian official Vincenzo Valleiry as the new Chief of the EUBAM in Libya to replace the Finnish Antti Hartikainen. The new chief will take office on Thursday in Tunisia and will proceed the mission of the EU that aims at fighting terrorism, immigration and other issues like security of the country’s borders.

Algeria kick-started the building of a sand barrier on its borders with Libya and Tunisia for “security reasons” and for protecting the Algerian territories from any terrorist infiltrators, according to sources from Algeria. The barrier will be 3 meters high and beneath it there will be a trench 3 meters deep extending for more than 350 km – from Elizi in Algeria to the triangle point that joins the borders of Algeria, Tunisia and Libya.
