Niger's Interior Minister, General Mohamed Toumba, has criticized the deportation of irregular migrants from Libya to his country.
Niger, represented by Toumba during a meeting with an IOM delegation, denounced what it called "the sudden expulsion of migrants on its borders with Libya and Algeria," according to local media.
Toumba said that "the immediate expulsion of migrants is contrary to the rules of good cooperation and international treaties," describing these actions as "regrettable and unacceptable acts," without identifying the countries directly involved.
