Chief of Dignity Operation Khalifa Haftar has declared to Corriere della Sera that there is no concrete evidence against Mahmud Al-Werfalli, the serial killer who has committed several summary executions.
He said in an interview with the Italian newspaper that he had ordered forces to arrest Al-Werfalli, although there is no evidence against him. He also stated that he respects human rights laws and the authority of International Criminal Court in The Hague saying "Horrific crimes are committed every day in Libya, why is the spotlight being focused on Al-Werfalli".
Al-Werfalli has committed more than 10 summary executions on camera and the ICC issued an arrest warrant against him on charges of committing war crimes.
