The National Oil Company (NOC) and Brega Oil Marketing Company have demanded an immediate cease-fire in order to preserve the lives of the company's employees who are stranded in Tripoli oil depot in the Airport Road, due to the difficulty of evacuating them in these circumstances.

An official from the NOC told the Libya Observer that the company issued strict instructions to its staff who are trapped in the oil depot to take every precaution in order to keep safe until the situation calms down.

According to the source, two fire fighters of the Brega company were injured as they tried to control the fires that broke out inside the depot after being hit by a number of missiles, causing damage to one of the aviation fuel tanks and the main reservoir for the water used to extinguish the fire, in addition to the open field surrounding the reservoirs.
