The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has denied making any statements to "Libya Press," a platform the NOC described as having unknown funding and sources.
The Corporation accused the news outlet of attempting to mislead the public "by fabricating press statements, distributing them, and trying to disseminate them."
As per the NOC, the news platform attributed a statement to a member of the NOC Board of Directors, indicating that Farhat Bengdara, the head of the Corporation, stated that the deal to develop the Hamada Hamra field was initiated at the personal request of Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, who allegedly directed that the project be completed in any form.
