The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has launched its second phase of the afforestation campaign in the oil crescent areas, as part of the "Thinking about Tomorrow" initiative, which aims to plant one million trees.
The second phase included the first and second regions of Sirte Company, the new city of Brega, the Arqoub area, and Khor Qida, and future plans include expanding the campaign to the areas of Aqila, Bishr, Al-Arasa, and Brega Marsa.
NOC explained that the campaign witnessed distinguished participation from students of Arqoub primary schools and Ibn Al-Nafis secondary school, and it comes in implementation of the corporation's vision to enhance environmental efforts and achieve sustainability.
