The National Oil Corporation (NOC), confirmed that the recent lifting of ‘force majeure’ from the remaining oil installations and ports is directly linked to the development of the security situation within them, stressing the importance of continued security of these facilities and of its employees.

The NOC said in a statement that the follow-up and assessment process is continual in all of the oil installations, in order to ensure the existence of what it described as ‘necessary public safety’ and the clearance of all and any foreign or local elements, which may pose a threat to the security of those working in the facilities.
