The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has signed agreements with local telecom companies Al-Madar, Libyana, and Hatif Libya to transform oil cities into smart cities.
The initiative, titled “Towards Smart Oil Cities,” aims to modernize the digital infrastructure of oil production hubs.
According to the NOC, these agreements will integrate advanced telecommunications and IT technologies, improving operational efficiency and ensuring the sustainability of Libya’s oil sector.
The partnerships underscore the critical role of telecommunications in enabling smart management and enhancing control over resources, which are essential for the continuity of Libya’s key economic sector, the NOC explains.
