The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has reaffirmed the importance of internal auditing in promoting governance, transparency, and compliance, as well as the need to support audit staff in enhancing their efficiency, improving performance outcomes, and safeguarding assets and property.
This came during a meeting on Tuesday attended by the NOC’s Chairman, Masoud Suleiman.
According to a statement on the NOC Facebook page, the NOC expressed its commitment to ensuring that affiliated companies and entities carry out their activities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and approved procedures.
Also on Tuesday, Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh issued a decision to form a joint committee with the Audit Bureau and the Administrative Control Authority to review all development contracts in the oil sector and refer any violations to the Attorney General.
