In a new update of the losses suffered by the oil sector and the Libyan state due to the closure of oil ports, The National Oil Corporation said that until yesterday, the 6th July, 12.5 million barrels of oil have been lost, and that the halt of pumping this amount of oil has deprived the Libyan economy of 920 million dollars with average daily losses estimated at 67 million dollars.

Oil production fell to 520 thousand barrels per day after it was a little more than one million barrels per day before the start of the crisis at the Oil Crescent ports.
