The United States Special Envoy to Libya, Amba. Richard Norland, has discussed with the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation, Farhat Ben Gadara, the current halt of production at the Sharara oil field.
Norland said in a post on “X” that oil production in Libya is its economic lifeline, and halting its production harms all Libyans.
"The United States stresses the importance of preserving independence of the National Oil Corporation and its technocratic integrity." He added.
