Spokesman for the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Robert Colville, voiced his concern about women still held in prison.
He called on the authorities to include women and children in the list of detainees to be released, estimated at 1,600 prisoners, as part of measures to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.
The UN official noted that they do not know the exact number of arrested women, but estimates indicate that figures stand at around 500.
