German Ambassador to Libya, Michael Ohnmacht, recently met with Imad Al-Sayeh, Chairman of the High National Election Commission (HNEC), to find out preparations for the upcoming municipal elections.
Al-Sayeh briefed the ambassador on the Commission's work progress and preparations on the municipal elections track.
Ohnmacht praised the HNEC's efforts and considered it a positive step towards enhancing legitimacy and achieving peaceful democratic deliberation.
He expressed optimism that the progress made so far would bring stability to the country and lead to a successful transition to parliamentary and presidential elections
