The European Union Ambassador to Libya Nicola Orlando met on Monday with Acting Chairman of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) Masoud Suleiman at the latter’s office in Tripoli.
In a post on his X platform page, Orlando described the meeting as productive, noting discussions on the EU’s support for expanding resource development transparently and sustainably.
The talks also covered initiatives on oversight, greener hydrocarbons, renewables, and fighting oil smuggling.
The EU envoy also congratulated Suleiman on the NOC’s launch of Libya’s first new bidding round in 17 years.
