The Foreign Minister of the parallel government, Hafez Kaddour, has rejected the nominations of ambassadors or members of the Libyan embassy in Khartoum until the Government of National Unity hands over power.

This came in his letter to the Sudanese Foreign Minister, Ali Al-Sadiq Ali, during which Kaddour explained that "this measure comes within the framework of organizing work in the Libyan diplomatic mission in Sudan."

He also indicated that their government had won the confidence of the House of Representatives last March, claiming that it has become the only "legitimate" government that represents the Libyan people and fulfills their desire to hold fair and transparent presidential and legislative elections.
