The Security Directorate of the Ras Ajdir border crossing has announced a partial closure of the gateway on Saturday, October 19, as part of preparations for the opening of new commercial crossings.
In a statement, the Directorate confirmed that regular travel through the exit gate from Libya will be suspended for the day, with exceptions made for emergency cases, ambulances, diplomatic delegations, and buses.
The closure is scheduled to begin at 7:00 AM local time, with normal traffic expected to resume at 4:00 PM. Authorities are implementing the temporary measures to facilitate the upcoming adjustments to the border's operations.
