President Mohamed Menfi of the Presidential Council (PC) met with Omar al-Abidi, the Second Deputy Chairman of the High Council of State (HCS), to explore strategies for advancing Libya's political process.
A statement by the PC media office said the discussions, held on Sunday, focused on ending the transitional phases and achieving national stability through free and transparent elections involving all Libyans. No additional details were disclosed regarding the discussions.
The meeting coincides with the recent announcement by the House of Representatives, which has opened the candidacy period for the presidency of a new government. The application window for this position will be open from July 27 until August 11.
