Member of the Presidential Council (PC), Ahmed Maiteeq said the solution to the current crisis counts on the withdrawal of the aggressor forces outside the military area of the western and southern region.

This came during a telephone conversation with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov on the current situation in Libya and Russia's position on the recent events.

Areas of south Tripoli have been rocked with violent clashes between Haftar's self-styled army and forces from the western and central regions, under the Presidential Council.
